Brilliant white light for precious stones When it came to lighting, the company from Wattens in Austria also opted for the very latest technology. Discreetly recessed square downlights with 20 W discharge lamps conjure up an inviting atmosphere with impressive efficiency and an installed load of just 10 W per square metre for ambient lighting. LED modules with a colour temperature of 3900 Kelvin and exceptional colour rendition are used exclusively for lighting the showcases. Brilliant white LED light is especially suitable for emphasising the uniqueness of the cut stones. Concealed modules have been built into showcase floors in order to gently brighten up the rear walls. In addition, high-performance LED which shine directly onto precious crystal objects ensure accent lighting with high contrast levels. Deliberately created areas of darkness and light attractively highlight the goods with an interplay of different brightness levels. As, for security reasons, the showcases have been designed as sealed slide-out units, the low thermal emission of LED and their unbelievably long service life were another major benefit. A particular highlight in London: a structurally immovable buttress, which really dominates the room, was clad in glass and is illuminated - from a distance of just 10 cm - by wide-area backlighting from LED provided by Ledon. |
